Our Day Will Come

Yesterday, September 27, 2013, the Christian radio station out of Middletown, CT, WIHS 104.9 FM (celebrating its 44th anniversary today) hosted its Annual Christian Leadership Breakfast. Why?

Because many local, God-fearing pastors, preachers and Bible teachers have been steadfastly and loyally encouraging the flock of God, His sheep, to continue strong in the faith. They, week after week, day after day, and hour after hour feed their congregations the bread of life – God’s Word. Their main message?  Faith, Hope, and Love.

WIHS logoThe song below (after tweaking the lyrics a little) is what these and all such pastors, preachers, Bible tutors and, oh yes, even DJs of Christian radio stations everywhere are singing to the church today as the return of Jesus Christ draws ever closer to becoming a reality. They are all encouraging the faithful to keep up the faith, to stand firm, to keep their eyes on Christ, and to be always mindful of His promises of help, endurance, and eternal life.

May the Holy Spirit continue providing them the strength, the stamina and the insights they need in fulfilling the mission He has given them.

single – Our Day Will Come   (1963)

Our day will come
And we’ll have everything
We’ll share the joy
Falling in love can bring
No one can tell me
That I’m too young to know
I love you so
And you love me

Our day will come
If we just wait a while
No tears for us
Think love and wear a smile
Our dreams have magic because
We’ll always stay
In love this way
Our day will come

[Instrumental break]

Our dreams have magic because
We’ll always stay
In love this way
Our day will come
Our day will come
Our day will come
