You Raise Me Up

Music HighwayIn my last post, I mentioned how we as Christians should witness others to Christ no matter how they treat us – especially if they are falsely trying to befriend us for personal gain.

I also mentioned in Elevators Will Let You Down, part 1 that God wants to humble us so we do not elevate ourselves. Reason? To allow Him, God, to elevate us – to raise us up for His purpose, for His glory and mostly for the benefit of others.

This world needs to see and hear us Christians sing the video song below. Why? Because it is our testimony that God exists. Because the world’s way without God is mostly a let down – meaningless, without purpose, without hope, without love.

And, yes, as Christians overcoming many trials, temptations and hardships, we will fall short at times. But God will always be there to raise us up.

Josh Groban closerWhen I am down and, oh my soul, so weary;
When troubles come and my heart burdened be;
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence,
Until you come and sit awhile with me.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up… To more than I can be.

(violin solo with orchestral background)

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up… To more than I can be.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up… To more than I can be.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up… To more than I can be.

You raise me up… To more than I can be.
