Play Me

Music HighwayEarlier this week, the planet Earth’s Northern Hemisphere witnessed a huge full moon called the Harvest Moon. It was particularly large because the moon’s elliptical orbit came very close to us.

According to NASA, the Harvest Moon appears about 14 per cent larger and around 30 per cent brighter than usual moons.

God wanted this to occur at this time in order to provide more light to farmers harvesting their crops.

This brought to mind a sermon one pastor give many moons ago (years ago). It was like a song singing in my ears. He said that the moon we see mostly at night symbolizes the Christian Church. As the moon’s light is really the reflection of the sunlight, so it is that the light of Jesus Christ is upon all spirit-led Christians which is reflected to the world.

Please listen to the YouTube video below and apply it to what God has done and can do with your life. If you are a Christian, ask that you be the instrument of the tune of God’s Word to others.

Suggestion: One of a few alterations of the lyrics is to replace “she” and “her” with “You” meaning Jesus Christ.

And if you are a lonely traveler who has paused here at this moment and do not know Jesus Christ, perhaps the Word of God will soon be the music in you that He can play through you for all who would listen.

album track – Side 2, no. 1

She was morning,
and I was night time
I one day woke up
To find her lying beside my bed
imageI softly said “Come take me”
For I’ve been lonely in need of someone
As though I’d done someone wrong somewhere
But I don’t know where,
I don’t know where
Come lately

You are the sun, I am the moon
You are the words, I am the tune
Play me

Song she sang to me
Song she brang to me
Words that rang in me,
imageRhyme that sprang from me
Warmed the nights,
and what was right
Became me

You are the sun, I am the moon
You are the words, I am the tune
Play me

[Instrumental]

And so it was that I came to travel
Upon a road that was thorned and narrow
Another place, another grace
Would guide me

You are the sun, I am the moon
You are the words, I am the tune
Play me
You are the sun, I am the moon
You are the words, I am the tune
Play me……
