In Everything Give Thanks

Music HighwayAnother end of a year is quickly approaching. In the country I live, the United States, there is an annual holiday tradition called Thanksgiving that Christians love and fully take advantage.

On Thanksgiving Day, we Christians of this country meditate on the blessings the Giver of Life has given us and how He has always provided for us. We also reflect how He has taught and guided us along the path He has placed us.

Yes, there have been trials and even tragedies
these past few months. We Christians, as well as
other citizens have lost precious, loved ones.

Many of us are grieving as a result of evil in our
midst.

New England in November

I cannot fully understand what pains any of you may be experiencing at the present time, but God knows your heartbreaks better than I could ever do in this life. I know He can and will see you through.

All that has happened God is aware of and will get more involved in for our lives for eternity.

All of the negatives we experience now are only temporary. I know it is easier to say this than to experience them, but as we look back, we can indeed recognize God’s
offering hand of comfort and strength
through them all.

Our joy is in Christ and what He has already
done for us for the next life. Our joy is in
Christ that He still is with us no matter what.
Our joy is in Christ, that He will continue
being with us.

With all that said, we are most thankful that He exists. For without Him where would we be?

Without Him we would not be.

Without Him there will always be hatred and destruction – leading to utter destruction.

But God indeed is active in our lives. In the midst of this dark world, we have the gospel, which, as you know, is good news. We have Jesus Christ, and therefore, many of us have learned it is best not to blame God for whatever wrong has occurred.

Personally, this Thanksgiving Day, I want to just thank God for all He has done in my life. Living in New England, I often face harsh weather for a few weeks following this holiday, nevertheless, I will thank God for it because there is a purpose for it all. I will thank Him especially for allowing me to always draw closer to Him.

My eyes will also be looking forward to “the spring” of His return when a new heaven and a new earth will begin (Rev. 21:1-4). God will bring new life, growth and beauty to this world as never before that will be around forever and ever.

During this season of Thansgiving, I will be thankful and appreciative of every hymn and praise song I heard, every thought that God brought, every knowledge that He taught, and every experience I went through which indicates that God is with me and that He cares.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you celebrating it.

God bless.

LYRICS:

In everything give thanks,
With all your heart give praise,
For the Lord we serve will never let you down.
In everything give thanks, with all your heart
Believe that the Lord can take a circumstance
And turn it all around.

Album

When you want sunshine to brighten up your day,
But you find the clouds rain on your parade;
Don’t forget somewhere someone you may not know
Is thanking God for the rain to make the crops grow.

In everything give thanks,
With all your heart give praise,
For the Lord we serve will never let you down.
In everything give thanks, with all your heart
Believe that the Lord can take a circumstance
And turn it all around.

When troubles trouble you and you think life’s not fair,
When you need someone and there’s no one there;
Remember all the times that you feel alone
Are the times He’ll use to make you strong

In everything give thanks,
With all your heart give praise,
For the Lord we serve will never let you down.
In everything give thanks, with all your heart
Believe that the Lord can take a circumstance
And turn it all around.  (repeat)
