Last year, there were verses that for years I have been familiar that all of a sudden took on a whole new dimension when I began writing about them.
If you are a new Christian or a person who
does not know yet what the Bible is all about,
I pray that the verses below will cause you to
start thinking differently about yourself and the
world you live in.
On the other hand, chances are you are now beginning to study the Bible. If so, I believe it will be a Supreme Being, the Great God, who will be communicating to you mostly through your thoughts.
Below are ten more Bible verses added from “10 Bible Verses That Can Change Your Life (part 35)” that have changed my life and other people’s lives as well. These verses have been doing this throughout the centuries. I am sure you long-time students of the Bible can think of other verses that are also life-changing.
351) Mark 1:12
At once the Spirit sent him out into the wilderness…
When Christ was born He was carried to Egypt and then, years later after His baptism, He was sent to the wilderness. Did you you notice something similar that happened in the Bible earlier? Answer: The ancient
Israelites who were in Egypt crossed the Red Sea
(a baptism – 1 Cor. 10:1-4) and then entered the
The ancient Israelites were residing in Egypt over 400 years before the deliverer, Moses, came to free them to begin their journey toward the promised land.
After the book of Malachi of the Old Testament was written, there were about 400 years of silence before the Deliverer, Jesus Christ, was born as Savior of the world.
Anyway, when you have accepted Christ, you will receive the Holy Spirit and He will not separate you immediately away from this world but will keep you still in the wilderness of the world’s sins as you journey toward the Promised Land.
And it will be He (God) who then will continue to change your life.
352) Mark 13:14
“When you see ‘the abomination that causes desolation’ standing where it does not belong—let the reader understand—then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
After you have received the Holy Spirit, you will read the Bible and understand when and how this passage is about to happen.
If you are a Christian living in the generation when this event is about to burst into reality, it will be the Holy Spirit who will let the reader of this verse (you!) realize the significance of what is happening.
And once you understand these events transpiring around you be ready for a change for your greater life yet ahead.
353) Isaiah 44:6
This is what the Lord says—
Israel’s King and Redeemer, the Lord Almighty: “I am the first and I am the last; apart from me there is no God.”
If you are a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses, you may understand the words of this verse as coming from the Father, notJesus. But, Christ in John 5:37 said “…no man
has heard the Father except the Son.”
If Jesus is the Logos and He became flesh, then this Person who spoke to Isaiah in this verse is the Lord God, Jesus Christ. He is the same person who said, I am the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end” in Rev. 22:13; Rev. 21:6-7; Rev. 21:6-7; and Rev/ 1:17-18. Therefore, Jehovah and Jesus are the same person!
Knowing this will help change you and make you free.
354) Isaiah 48:17
This is what the Lord says—
your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:
“I am the Lord your God,
who teaches you what is best for you,
who directs you in the way you should go.
If you, in your heart, sense that God has given you a mission, a mission to help others know the Lord, then read God’s word, the Bible, and wait until He shows you what to do next.
Then, after you have begun your ministry, if someone ever tells you that, “you do not know what you are doing”, rejoice and wait, for it is God who will advise and lead you further in the direction you should go and thus affirm your calling.
355) Isaiah 60:19
The sun will no more be your light by day,
nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you,
for the Lord will be your everlasting light,
and your God will be your glory.
When Christ was born, the Light of the World was on earth (John 8:12). But, the earth has always been lit by the sun by day and by the moon and stars at night.
Question: Where did the sun get its energy to light up half the earth at any given time? Question: Where does the moon get its light?
When you receive Jesus Christ, He is now another source, a Light who is within you. And in the next life God’s light will shine on you and everywhere always.
356) Isaiah 65:17
See, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind.
Many of you reading this are new regarding God and the Bible. You may currently have definite concerns about
possible dire consequences and catastrophes on our planet
earth in the future.
You ask questions such as:
* Will global warming alter the survivability of the human
* Will air pollution adversely affect our future health?
* Will a depleted atmospheric ozone layer cause widespread
cancer among the population?
Well, the good news is that God has already been planning on dealing with all of the harm mankind has brought upon the earth. He is going to “replace” this earth with a new one along with a new atmosphere (Rev. 22:1-4). The earth will be made perfect, absolutely perfect, for everyone to enjoy. Believing in God, His grace and His mercy through Jesus Christ and knowing about this future reality for the earth should change your way of living with – and for – others at this moment in time.
357) Isaiah 66:2
“Has not my hand made all these things,
and so they came into being?”
declares the Lord.
These are the ones I look on with favor:
those who are humble and contrite in spirit,
and who tremble at my word.
How many of you reading this know what your attitude toward life has been like? Very likely you have been proud of your accomplishments, satisfied with having the upper hand in dealing with others and wanting nothing to do with God, church, Bible and all of that other holy-poly stuff.
But perhaps something recently happened in your life that changed this attitude. You now sense God dealing intimately with you. The God you hardly knew before has now become of great interest to you. He is getting more and more attention FROM you. To that, I now say, “Rejoice my friend! Rejoice!”
358) Luke 1:77
…to give his people the knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their
If you are not a Christian, but now are wondering how you can handle all of the evil being hurled against you,
what can you do? What will your life be like for the
remainder of your years on earth? You may be asking,
“Is this all there is to life?” What can you now do?
What next? Well, there is nothing you can do on your
own that will be most effective on your behalf. Why?
Because something has already been done for you by
Christ’s death on the cross.
You can now begin a new life by knowing who Jesus Christ is by accepting Him as your loving Savior who will always be beside you wherever you go. That knowledge of His love toward you will change your life.
359) Isaiah 9:2
The people walking in darkness
have seen a great light;
on those living in the land of deep darkness
a light has dawned.
This verse can very well be speaking to you. You may have had little to do with God all your life. But, one day, as you were going about your daily routine, all of a sudden, you began to sense meaningless and emptiness in everything around you. Perhaps you went to a doctor and sought professional help for your sense of boredom and alienation.
Nevertheless, you recently heard something that excited everything within your being as never before. Someone, perhaps an acquaintance, spoke to you about a Light – a Light by the name of Jesus Christ. For some reason that Light lingered with you and now you realize that He is beginning to change your life. Rejoice and be glad!
360) Revelation 19:4
The twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God, who was seated on the throne. And they cried: “Amen, Hallelujah!”
Why would God need elders? This verse reveals twenty-four of them! Are these elders old beings having beards and elderly-looking, white hair? Do they symbolize someone or something else? Who knows?
But if these elders are individuals, we may meet them
one day in the next life. What will they be telling us?
What will they be showing us? What will they be telling
us about God, the Father and Jesus Christ?
Final question: How will we be interacting with all of the other living creatures in heaven who also worship God? What role will they play in our future home?
Much awaits for each and every one of us when our usual day-to-day mode of existence now will all one day become different, new, intriguing and wonderful!
